Behind it
SlateFPV is one person who flies, building the parts he wanted and could not buy. Everything here started as a problem on a real quad rather than a gap in a product line.
The aim is gear that is easier to get hold of and easier to live with than what it replaces — built on boards you can already buy and a flight controller you already own. Nothing here needs a proprietary anything, and nothing is locked to a part only one shop sells.
Source, wiring, measurements, and the CAD when there is CAD. Not as a gesture: a part you can read is one you can repair when a supplier disappears, and one you can change to fit a build nobody else has. Openness is a maintenance decision here before it is a philosophical one.
